Background

New iPhone releases have been less of an event than in years past, only accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Verizon wanted to bring the magic back, so we worked with them to create an interactive, engaging, one-of-a kind metaverse experience. 

Our Approach & Solution

For the launch of the iPhone 13, we teamed up with FriendsWithYou and Halsey to create H1DD3N, an amazing augmented reality experience. The H1DD3N immersive installation is an ever-growing augmented-reality-powered treasure hunt that admits fans who use their smartphones to scan QR codes on nearby signs in select Verizon 5G public spaces across New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami and Seattle. 

Upon entry into the AR treasure hunt, fans were able to explore larger-than-life art installations, listen to Halsey’s track “Darling” from their recent album If I Can't Have Love, I Want Power, and potentially win the grand prize of Apple’s latest iPhone 13 Pro. Fans could expand the installation with unique art on social and share their experiences as a part of the giveaway process.
