With  the explosion of social media over the last fifteen years, the impact of generations growing up having their lives broadcast without their consent is beginning to show as the first generation enters their teenage years. In addition to children not being able to give consent to photos, many pedophiles use these photos on the dark web. Partnering with the Child Rescue Coalition, we created a campaign to educate parents on the risks of oversharing as well as hoping to have them think twice before they post photos of their children in compromising situations that will live online forever. We walked a fine line of teaching parents that while the photos they are posting are not considered child pornography, they can end up in the wrong hands.

In order to do this, we created ten bots that will automatically post to Instagram at desired intervals (every hour, every minute, every thirty seconds, etc.) to "hack the hashtag" and populate these popular hashtags (ex: #pottytraining) in which parents commonly overshare photos of their children asking for privacy. In addition, we created a campaign video explaining the idea, animated social posts of common parental posts that should be avoided that live on our educational hub @KidsForPrivacy, and an animated educational video explaining the reasons to think before posting.

Lastly, we reached out to influencers to help spread the message and share photos of their own children with signs saying "Privacy Please" and invited the public to join the movement.
